VIDEO SIGNALS & INPUTS
Video signals when it comes to CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) technology are analog signals that carry visual information to the CRT display. These signals encode the brightness, color, and synchronization information necessary to generate the visual content on the screen. Common video signals used in CRT technology include composite video, S-Video, component video, and RGB.
Video inputs refer to the various interfaces and connectors that allow CRT displays to receive video signals from external devices. These inputs enable users to connect a wide range of devices, such as gaming consoles, DVD players, computers, and video cameras, to the CRT display for viewing. Common video inputs in CRT displays include composite video, S-Video, component video, and RGB. Some video inputs can handle different types of video signals. Such is for example the case with the RGB input in many displays that is capable of handling component signals.
